Quick ways to get a floor plan
- Magicplan app — use your phone camera to scan each room. Generates a scaled floor plan automatically. Free for basic plans.
- Canvas (RoomScan Pro) — similar phone-based scanning, very accurate for internal layouts.
- Your real estate listing — search your address on Domain or realestate.com.au. Most listings include a floor plan you can screenshot.
- Email your council — some councils hold older approved plans on file. Worth asking.
- Engage a surveyor — for larger renovations, a measured survey is the most accurate option.
